If a person was to follow the OT ‘diet’ concerning what’s clean and unclean, does the Bible say if we follow?

There is nothing wrong in following it………so many Messianic Jews don’t eat pork or don’t marry gentiles & it isn’t wrong.

Should we then despise the 10 commandments too?

Jesus said you can pick and choose the laws you can follow, that doesn’t sound like a structured religion now does it? Also, it’s not an “OT diet” it’s the kosher laws in the Torah.

One is only obligated to follow those laws if one is Jewish. If not, one is free to pick and choose; there is no obligation TO eat pork, shellfish, etc. if one is not Jewish.

Those laws were not for non-Jews. Non-Jews have the 7 Noahide Laws that were handed down from God to Moses on Mt. Sinai.

The laws are not now required to walk with God.

We are now under Grace. However if you do not accept Jesus it does not matter you are lost.

Law can not save anyone.

If you follow the OT diet you are just following a particular diet that may be healthy only. No eternal spiritual advantage.

Review the fifteenth chapter of Acts. By the way, Messianic Jews are not off the Hook, please notice.

Not following the food “laws” is not a sin to the death of ones soul, but a sin to the health of ones flesh body. They are Gods instructions to us on how to stay healthy in this flesh. I follow these instructions and remain a pretty healthy 52 yr old woman. Some want to argue about Peter or the scripture in Timothy4, but Peter never ate those scavengers and the message from God was not to call any man common,..and in Tim 4:3 it states , which God hath created to be received….Unclean animals were not created to be received, but I’m thankful for those that are. Some like to argue about the pig and say it’s ok, but if you read Lev. 11 and read the other unclean animals, I doubt if they’d eat most of them.
